This past Wednesday, I had the pleasure of participating in a large volunteer event called Addis Holiday Lunch for the Homeless. Now in its fourth year, the Holiday Lunch takes place during three major holidays: Easter, New Year, and Christmas. Each time, nearly 100 volunteers descend upon St. Joseph’s School in Addis Ababa and hand out free lunches and donated clothing to thousands of homeless citizens.
